Full Spectrum Tours offers a variety of classes from Introduction to Lake Kayaking classes to Rolling Clinics. We also offer Personal Instruction for those who want a more customized lesson. You are guaranteed to feel more confident and comfortable on the water after one of our classes!

ADULT INTRODUCTION TO LAKE KAYAKING

This class is designed for beginners or anyone who wants a refresher course. It introduces you to kayaking on the lake in a supportive environment. You will learn to adjust a P.F.D. and kayak for fit and comfort, basic features of the boat and what they're for, different safety equipment and proper use, getting in/out with style, basic paddle strokes, recovery techniques, and much more!(18 and older please.)Prerequisites:Able to swim.

Date: Saturday, June 16th, 9am - 2pm

And: Sunday, June 17th 1pm - 6pm

And: Saturday, July21st, 9am - 2pm

And: Sunday, July 22nd, 1pm - 6pm

And: Saturday, August 18th, 9am - 2pm

Directions to Hawkins Point
Take Highway 200 east, approximately 6 miles. The lake will come into view on your right, you will turn right on Sunnyside road. You will go under the railroad trestle and the road will fork. You will need to bear left. Go approximately 6 miles on paved and gravel road until you reach Hawkins Point. The road will turn towards the left and Hawkins Point will be on the right. Take a right into Hawkins Point Boat Launch area. This is a small area with a concrete boat ramp and dock. We will meet you there.

LAKE KAYAKING PART II

This class is designed for the person who knows how to paddle, but wants to refine their skills. It is a follow up to our Intro Class. Control and grace while kayaking equal energy saved. Thats what this class is all about. We will briefly discuss what we covered in our first class; then you will learn more advanced techniques. Including advanced recovery techniques, balance and bracing, paddle stroke refinement, paddle smarter not harder, and much more.(18 and older please.) Prerequisites:You know a paddle from a pump and wet exits are boring.

YOUTH AND TEEN INTRODUCTION TO LAKE KAYAKING

This class introduces kids to kayaking. They will learn to adjust a P.F.D. and kayak, basic features of a boat and what they're for, safety equipment, basic paddle strokes, go over those wet exit fears in a supportive environment and what to do if (when) it happens "out there", and more! Pre-requisites:Able to swim.

PERSONAL INSTRUCTION

Looking for something more intensive or customized exactly to your skill level. This one on one instruction is designed to give you more confidence, refine your skills, and allow you to learn new skills in less time than one of our group classes.
